Skelf Space is designed to support artists working with sound, video and performance by offering low-cost studio spaces, access to equipment and an exciting curatorial programme based in its on-site project space. The space will be used to host monthly exhibitions, alongside artist critiques, skill-swaps, discussion and live events, and for the studio-holders to use for their own work. Skelf is designed to be financially self-sustaining, so that the income generated from renting the artists’ studios covers the costs of the project space and exhibition programme, offering a long-term, innovative facility for the benefit of a large number of artists.
